A space to breath
The workshop took place as part of a design thinking course at the University of Florida, marking a return to in-person activities after a year and a half since the university initially closed due to COVID-19. Students expressed their fears, hopes, messages, struggles, wishes, and opportunities that emerged during the COVID-19 health crisis by creating collages.
Smart Card
As part of a workshop and design thinking exploration, Students collaborated in pairs to develop a smart card tailored to meet the needs of their designated customers. This session is a variation of the renowned "Wallet Project" from the d.school. Throughout in-class discussions, students express a common desire for a single "smart card" that consolidates access to all their essential functions. In a span of 90 minutes, students engage in a complete design thinking cycle. Working in pairs, they assume the roles of both designer and customer, collaboratively crafting a smart card that effectively addresses their identified needs.
